The first step that any organisation, large or small, should take when engaging with their customers and stakeholders on social media is developing a social media protocol or policy. It also serves as a guide for employees when they use social media personally, especially when what they say online could reflect on their employer.

Transport for NSW teamed up with Art of Multimedia to create an engaging motion graphics video to introduce their new social media policy to all of the staff on the transport cluster.

The end result was a three-minute, animated overview of what is included in the social media policy, concluding with where staff can find the printed version.
